Taylor T. You should post pics of your filtration/set up for all the gig lovers. Yours look great...and so much for only being able to keep just one per aquarium !!
Thanks! If I fed them more, I think they may grow.
My tanks are really simple. It goes like this:
Tank water overflows to 30 gallon sump, some goes through a skimmer, then it gets pumped back up. That's it. No reactors, no fuge on the 75, but macro out of control in the display gets sucked up with water changes, (fuge on the 210), no filter sock. It's really as bare bones simple as you can go. My sumps collect crud that I suck out with a water change once in a while, but not very often. I've been manually topping off with a cup (sad I know), my ATO broke a while ago, and I've been 2-part dosing for a long while now. Both tanks get anywhere from 15-25ml a day, it varies (I'm not exact with it). What surprises me is that the 75 gallon tank uses the same amount of 2-part as the 210. I suppose a 2' anemone blocking all the rock keeps it from needing it.
Not very exciting, but here's the 75 sump. Yellow cord is battery backup for skimmer, return, and mp40. I have both tanks on a battery backup I made with 3 deep cycle marine batteries with true sine wave 2000 watt inverter . 21 hours run time for both tanks to keep essentials running. Generator is for longer outages. For both tanks, 400 watts total (about). Instantaneous change over, power loss closes a different set of contacts, restore opens. I don't have to be home for things to keep running. I'll usually start the generator if I'm home for the ref, furnace, or tv though.
Back to my sump... Left side:

Very basic.
