I have had a large purple gigantea for quite some time. Starting approximately a week ago it detached its foot. Since then I've moved it to several locations. Its mouth is tightly closed and it is open and not shriveled, it just won't attach its foot. At approximately the same time that it detached I had a temp swing from 79 down to 76. Would this have affected it? My other carpet has done the same thing (detached but fully open & mouth closed).
Tank info:
375g + 120g fuge. AI Leds. Reeflo Orca 200 Skimmer + Pro Cup. Running carbon in a reactor. Also have poly filter in place.
Current parameters are:
Temp 79 degrees
Salinity 1.026
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 15
Nitrite 0
pH 8
Calcium 460
Alkalinity 9
Phosphates 0
Is there anything that I can do to help them out? I plan to do a water change tomorrow but I am doubting that the 15 nitrates is causing this. Any help would be appreciated!!!
