Gigantea treatment: Septra DS

The tank is a bare bottom tank. The anemone attached to the bottom. I use a Maxijet 1200 to pump the water in and out. As I drain the water, I tilted the aquarium a little so I can drain all the water. The anemone is out of the water for a few minutes but fully supported by the bottom of the tank.
Even when I have the anemone on a cup, I just turn the cup side way and return it to upright position when I fill the tank again. Make sure the circulation pump and the heater turn off or unplug when you drain the tank

The anemone is out of the water for a few minutes but no problem.

Can all anemones without water for a few minutes?

Yes but you need to support them or they may tear or damage internally, especially the large anemone. Full of water they can weight a lot and the weight can cause damage.

All went well. After 7 days treatment the anemone went back to my friend's tank. He is doing great with clowns hosting already.

Here is an update picture of Kyle's anemone. he is doing really well.

Yes, A DS tablet is 800/160 mg for each 10 gal

Total body fluid for a human is 10 gal +/_ 20% or so due to large or small human. For most case I try to dose the normal human dose for 10 gal. Assuming the medication distribute evenly in our body fluid (most of the time but not always) we should get appropriate concentratin for the medication to be effective.

This anemone is over 12 inches in diameter at this time and is recovering some of the colors.
