First try boring out the Venturi.. I had to replace the hoses on my skimmer all together, with a harder plastic tube. Works much better. I need to bore mine out, I forgot to do that.

If the pump is working with 3 I believe you are okay.

No problem Mike, I've got enough to mod at least a half dozen pumps.

Has anyone bored out their original Sedra venturi? It makes me a little nervous because the plastic is pretty thin. I'm running this skimmer out of sump, so I had to glue the venturi to the pump intake. I really don't want to break it.

We we were at Kent's, I thought he was having people put 2 sheets on Sedra 5000s and 3 sheets on the Sedra 9000s. I have the Sedra 9000 and have 3 sheets on it. The skimmer kicks butt now.

Going to do the Gatevalve mod next, then the recirc. after that.

Yeah, really did have to sqeeze that third piece on. Maybe more isn't really better, but it fit fine and looked good.
