Left and right overflow boxes.

Looking good...didnt take long to fill either!
How does the gravity fed fuge work?..is it gravity fed from the tank and then pumped into return section of the sump or does it have its own return pump up to the tank?

Also can I ask what the blue piece of plumbing is between the manifold and the return pump?...some sort of check valve?

Sorry if these have been covered

The fuge is fed from the return pump then back into the tank.

You are correct, it is a 1 1/2" swing check valve.

Sorry if these have been covered

No problem at all.

Wow, you're meticulous in every single step!!
Just saw this thread and noticed it started in 09' and you're now filling the tank, I must say you have alot of patience. All that hard work and patience definitely shows in your setup. I can't wait to see the aquascaping done.
Awesome build!!!!

I've been juggling a second story addition/remodel, 2 growing kids, & the keeping the wife happy during those two years. ;)

I hope to get the rockscaping done soon and start cycling this bad boy.

I picked up a piece of 1" acrylic from Gen. The idea is to peg pieces of live rock onto there and secure it to the right rear wall to simulate depth.

An example of the piece of acrylic filled in with some rubble rock. Once coraline and corals grow in, it should fill in nicely.

1/2" fiberglass rods and weldon 16 from Tap Plastics. I'll tap the rods and secure them with a nylon nut (got the idea from Marco Rock demo).

I started the rockscaping on the left side of the main display. I wanted to create alot of caves and overhangs for the fish to swim through. Let me know what you guys think. I'm probably going to have to buy some of the half cut Marco Rock to do the right side. I'm just not getting the look I want with what I have.
