i got a 75 from jim in berts big dollar a gallon sale some months ago...

i just put water in it..

its still ugly...

im going to skin the stand in something like a naugahyde. but thats not done yet... its basically going to get velcro'd on so i can panic and pull it all off and have 270 degree access..

its going to use all t5 lights, no super coral for me... not installed yet, i broke all my bulbs before they ever got out of the packages...

reefkeeping rule #123 dont keep your bulbs with lumber.

i had a walmart hillbilly pool setup that died this summer. i cut it up and lined the bottom of my stand with it... so i can spill a little bit of water and not panic.

its got a rubbermade 66qt tote for a sump, i hope to change this out sometime soon.. but it should do for now..

i put a 5 gallon bucket in the sump to hold the skimmer.

i drilled some holes in the bucket so it drains from the side instead of overflowing the top..

if i had been thinking i would have put pvc drains on the bucket so it would be queit... i guess the next bucket will have that...

a mag 9.5 is the return pump... had to throttle that back some, darn drain couldnt keep up...

i had a 10g and a 20g tank, the 10 got emptied into the 75, the 20 is still in operation... it will get switched over soon... have to get rid of all my xenia and kenya trees first, and setup the lights...

the thing is still pretty barren..

this would have been a mantis tank but my O.s was assassinated (had to be a sneak attack, cant take one out if it sees it coming..)

the bucket keeps my skimmer pump at a fixed height in the water...

i do need to rebucket it w/ a plumbed bucket for noise sake..

that will probably wait till i resump it with a larger sump..

atm, im waiting on an algae bloom so i can think about moving my urchin over... and im sure a cyano outbreak has to be in the works at some point...
