Glass Cleaner

I visited a health food store today and came across a glass & surface cleaner called seventh generation free & clear. It is a natural cleaner non toxic no fumes hypo-allergenic. I thought it would be good to wash the front glass of the tanks with so I bought a bottle and it works great. I had one tank with a film on it that Windex wouldn't remove and this stuff took it right off no streaks or anything..

Vinegar or RO/DI

Believe it or not RO/DI is the universal solvent.

that is very true Guy I run the ro/di through the air intake of my skimmer to clean the Venturi.

i use viniger for the glass... only harm it could do is mess with the ph a little, but highly doubtful on the outside of the tank

Probably a bit more expensive but during my tank chores any water that drips on the front rolls right off without leaving any spots and also my dog's nose prints have miraculously stopped.

I use a windex type cleaner... I just hold the towels around the nozzle when spraying to keep the overspray from flowing into the room. works great

I don't think pouring in the tank would be a good idea.

spray the towel (away from the tank!), then wipe the glass. you should do this no matter what you are using.

If you're using RO water you can just spray the glass without qualms.
