Glass Panel Pricing?

Anybody ever priced 1/2" thick glass? 8'X2' are the dimensions. Just looking for a ballpark figure. Oh, and....NON-TEMPERED....HEHE. I googled it and couldn't find ANY estimates.

Picked up my 240gal tank earlier this evening and 5 ft from the front door my father in law couldnt take it anymore and set it down RIGHT on a piece of wood cracking the bottom all to $#@&. Yea.....not a very happy night around here.....

But, on another note, I found out that the bottom wasn't "tempered" so I could've had it drilled all along LOL.

Ask glasscages.com for a quote. They sell sheets of glass and are likely to be the cheapest you will find for that size and thickness. All their glass is untempered. If you call local glass shops youll soon find that half inch glass is not cheap.

Just checked for curiosities sake....its $9/sq foot on their site. So your looking at $144 plus shipping. Pretty cheap. Just send the bill to your Father in law :lol:

father in law would be geting his &^%$ kicked and taking his daughter back!!! LOL!!!

thats not a bad price on the sheet of glass either... you gonna have the father in law help with the replacement of the glass?
