glass scraper/cleaner

Looking to buy a new glass scraper. Presently I uses a mag float with a razor scraper glued on. It is approximately 3 X 4 inches. I attach two magnetic pieces together for strength.

I was looking to get a stronger magnetic cleaner that floats and can attach a razor to.

Would this be the large size mag float or tiger shark scraper.

The tank has 3/4 inch glass.

good question. i too have 3/4 " glass. i use a tunze magnet and it works well but sinks when it comes off the glass. also it doesn't have a razor blade so it's not good for the tough stuff.

i'll follow along

Mighty Magnets work good, no scraper, but they do have different pads for different types of scrubbing. Different sizes, and are really strong!

Scraper on a pole. Easy to use and work great.

Magnet scrapers are too dangerous when you get near sandbeds. Scratches will happen, it's just a matter of time.

I'd cough up $10 or $15 for one like this:

If you've never used one, definitely give one a try.

I've also seen cheap ones at Petco (2 piece pole) that work really well. About $7.

Buy the mag float and then order an algae free scraper...this particular scraper is designed for the mag float and all you have to do is attach it. A recent discovery for me that has made life much easier. ( I also have the kent scraper in the picture and the algae free works much better on my tank)
