Glass thickness question for a 72L x 36W x 24H with euro bracing?

Well, if some manufacturers prefer 3/4 and some prefer 1/2, I'd obviously prefer to play it safe and just go with 3/4.

Does 5k sound ballpark for a tank of this size, or did they see me coming and not leave a jar of vasonline at the doorway?

I have a few more manufacturers to check with. I am also not opposed to go acrylic, so that opens many other options.

Have you decided on thickness? I am planing on getting a tank built 80x36x24 and was told 1/2 would do... I was told I could bump it up to 5/8 or 3/4 but the price increased by a lot with just the 5/8

805reef - If I do a traditional with the braces across the top at 24" apart I have a quote for 1/2" that seems doable. Since mine is behind a wall I don't need any fancy tank. I am going to make it like a peninsula tank so i can reach in from the back. I put up a thread to get some ideas of how to do the plumbing over the side. I think 1/2 should suffice with a traditional style tank.
