I believe i posted a few somewhere in my thread
Hi GlennF, what is the name of this fish? I think it is great looking and I am trying to find out more about it.
Thanks...
The pictures are to blurred to see any detail.
When xenia is thriving i will pulse al the time and in two months would have covered the whole surface
Thriving xenia should look like this.

Don't those corals die if the filefish eats all of them? Do you have a video of it eating polyps?Oxymonacanthus Longistris...
It eats polyps, for it to survive you need acropora's and poccilopora's abundantly.
Well, I'm not sure what to make of the results then. It pulses all the time and it looks very healthy. It just hasn't spread like wild fire. The clusters have barely doubled in size in a touch over two months time.
My hanna phosphate checker always gives me a zero reading but I know there is phosphate present due to some red hair algae on my snails shells. There is also a couple spots on the rocks. It keeps my blennie happy and busy.
I'll keep chugging along and maybe someday I'll reach a tipping point with the system. As of now I'm just not sure how to correct it and get on the track I want to be on.
I'm not gonna keep posting off topic posts in your thread. Thank you very much for allowing me post and ask what I already have. Keep up all the great work. You have accomplished a ton and have an outrageous tank/system. I wish RC would let you share, it is what it is.
Take care Glenn, I'll be watching for your updates.
Peace.
The polyps will not extend that much, bus he wil not devastate you corals when you have enough for him to eat.Don't those corals die if the filefish eats all of them? Do you have a video of it eating polyps?
0 PO4 is not my believe. i like to aim at 0,03-0,08ppm
algae i control with animals who eats them.
Sometimes it pays to have a larger tank. I don't have many options when it comes to algae eating or sand sifting fish.
I'm interested in knowing the diameter and maybe the length of the neck or the riser tube in you collection cup on your skimmer. Would you be willing to measure and post that info?
Love the pics of the day especially the one where all the corals are growing into each other.
The collector cup is not original anymore. I cut off about 3cm to make it fit under the tank.
I will measure it later on while i clean it.
