Of course, but than is when it become the most efficient in removing small particles which make your tank water crystal clear.
I think you saw how clear my tank looks.
I never use activated carbon...

Yes it does...
I replace my filter wool once in 2-5 days depending on how long it takes before i see microbubbles.

Before i remove the old filterwool i stir up the sump a little bit so most debris get caught in the filterwool.


Besides that no worries at all, i even add PO4 and NO3 by daily dosing.
