Hey guys... need some advice on what kind of glue to use.
I have a Vertex 180i skimmer that the pump died on me. After waiting over 8 weeks for a replacement from Vertex (ridiculous I know), i did some research and found out that they use a modified Sicce PSK-1000 pump.
One of the mods is that they glue an acrylic base to the pump. I was able to pry it off clean from the damaged pump and now need to glue on to the new pump.
Question is... what kind of glue will bond acrylic to plastic that is reef safe? Not sure what kind of plastic pumps are made of.
PS... might want to stay away from Vertex skimmers. Replacing the pump is no easy task! I "WAS" very happy with the skimmer until it died on me. Pumps will go eventually. So never again!
