Gold Bar Maroon Bonding Behavior

This type of bonding behavior I've only seen in Premnas. With most other clownfish species, the male "shakes" at the female. With Premnas the males "push" at the gill plate area of the much larger females https://youtu.be/ThPaHXqlAHw

Yes. It's funny to watch the small male push her like that.

I've also never had a male grow much at all out of all the pairs Ive ever had. Even at +12 years.

Yes, male growth rate seems to slow down tremendously. I'm pretty sure that all males have a lighter color. Once they darken they are females. I have a 3" maroon with light color that will not pair with much smaller dark fish. I once saw a wild caught pair where the female was at least 6" and the light color male was about 4 1/2". I'm looking for a a very large female to pair with my large male before he changes sex.
