Gold hammer turned green

NO way you can't adjust colors right now on that light. Or at least, I'd hope you should be able to, for the price of it....

Wait. When you say your light is an AP700. Is it a Kessil AP700? If so, below is a link to the user manual and it shows how to adjust it. Kessil lights normally have one adjustment for spectrum and one for intensity. Give this a try.

There is a color wheel that allows you to adjust how much white you want in it. Or if you want red or green or rainbow.

The new app will allow you to add red and green to whatever ratio of white n blue you have set to

I don't know what kind of manual control you want. If you want control over each individual color then Kessils are not the light for you.

With Kessils, no matter what you pick, it will always have the uv-blue spectrum. You just need to decide how much white to mix in and how bright you want the light too be. The new controls add red and green sliders to the controls. And honestly, I don't even use those.

Thank you all for the answers

I think it was to do with the 420nm (or "UV")they use. I have a LPS tank with mitras fixtures and my LPS were not opening. I had the 420 nm maxed out at 100%. Even though I had the entire fixture dimmed to 40%, the LPS weren't opening as much and we're not looking healthy. 2 weeks ago I turned the 420 nm channel down to 25% and everything looks fat and puffy now. I believe kessil combines their "UV" with the blue channel....and people love to blast the blues with kessils. Once the app comes out try turning the "UV channel" down if they give you the option. The420 nm doesn't do anything visually for us, but I believe it is too bright for what the corals see.

Just wanted to update this thread.

It's still green :p !!!

There is somewhat a return of a golden "hue" but nothing like it was when I purchased it.

I feel through continuous observation that regular iodine dosing seems to make the colours "pop" more , but that's just me. I know a lot of people say it doesn't do anything.
