As far as how much the tubes save per month. I'm not really sure exactly how much mine save me.. Our bill bounces around a lot since we have a lot of animals couple kids Koi pond ect. I run less lighting for a shorter amount of time. I've also noticed that there is a TON less heat. Right now that hasn't really been a good thing since my heaters have been kicking on in the middle of the day, But my guess is it will even out in the summer since my fans won't kick on as much and the rooms AC won't have to work as hard. I installed the tubes cause I figured I'd get more light for less money. At the same time its natural light that in my mind is probably better for the corals? I have no idea really just something I was able to do so I wanted to try. A couple months into it even in winter time I'm still glad I installed them. Really the only debate is how long before you break even. These things have a 10 year warranty. By my very rough numbers I have the break even at 15-24month mark with me still using Mh for night time viewing. Even if it takes longer I'm cool with that. Sooner or later they will pay for them selves and at the same time its natural light so win win. I do wish mine put out a little more light But I installed as many as I could and I can't really make the sun shine more in the winter sooo. I get what I get haha
