Vivid is the online retailer. If you have not seen the massive thread on the other site about them it's pretty interesting. Over 150 large colonies came in to a wholesaler they were just ugly browned out pink ring polyps. Under good lighting they have been coloring them up and the things have exploded with color taking on the alternating skirts and blue centers. The last pictures I saw I truely believe these are the real deal RH's even though they still had a little to go color wise. The ones on Vivid's still needed alittle time to finish getting all their color. There is thousands if not tens of thousands of these Red Hornets at the wholesaler just goes to show how "rare" they really are.

If you actually read the thread on that forum you would realize how difficult it is to achieve the full alternating skirt color. Many of th red ring colonies simply don't end up having red skirts. That being said, true red hornets are probably more common than most people realize.

They are listed on their WYSIWYG page. The frags that were up the other day while still listed of course sold but I would bet cash money more will be listed come Monday.

From what I've heard there are tons of red hornet colonies sitting in a few wholesale shops. They just need to color up some more under the right lighting. So that means the price will soon drop significantly. Just my $0.02

This is funny you have some board members selling red hornets that need to color up and they get bashed and you have a site sell them and you have people saying how hard it is to get a alternating skirt. I think these are just a different morph that look close to the red hornet but is not the real deal. Just my 2 cents.

lol close enough to save 150.00 a polyp imho..I can see how the people that payed 180+ a polyp would be ****ed..

But as the great P.T. Barnum said..."œThere's a sucker born every minute"
Anyone willing to pay those prices are nuts imho..Some south Pacific kid free dove and plucked a rock with a thousand of them on it for less than a buck lol
