Good generator?

What do you guys think about this generator?

I would use it to run the tank and maybe a heater or two for the house if the power ever went out.

That's nice. I'm out of power and on my generator now. I'm running a 300w heater, couple mp40s, TV, wifi, and fridge

If you are going to one that is that expensive I'd buy a name brand one.
If you do buy that one I have heard stories of people running them for an hour and changing the oil for like 4 or 5 times just to get all the metal shavings out of the oil. Then they didn't have any problems with them after that.

I have not had much luck with Harbor Freight stuff. I certainly would not trust it with something critical.
I have a 6500 watt that I use and my neighbor s on both sides plug into. I just have a 60 gal and a 24 gal tank. I plug in tanks tv fridge gas furnace or fans. Neighbors fridges and tvs fans etc.
the brand I have is a Coleman power something it's 10 years old and starts first pull every time

I'm not a fan of their tools or anything particular but I know this engine. It's a honda engine with a different sticker on it. I replaced a craftsman engine with this one on my lawn mower and the thing is running like never before. Granted when I got the lawn mower it was 10 years old and never maintained so it would run better with anything other than the original engine.

This seems like a really good deal or am I just not looking in the places I should be looking?

You will have a hard time lugging around 183 lbs I think. I'm an electrician and have one a 3rd of the size for my house so... It's your money.

Now you have me thinking. Not because of the weight but because of the size. I really would love to be able to run my AC if needed. I know this one won't cut it but what would I need? Also in the opposite direction... how many watts is yours? What do you run on it?

As for the weight I can add wheels to make it easier or a cart maybe. I already have ramps made to make it out of the basement for my other gear. Wheeling it out once per month to fire up should not be that bad. If I really hate it I can put it in the shed which I still need want I build

If you don't go predator take a look at champion generators. I know people who have used both for bowfishing and they run them 8 hrs straight 3 times a week from April til November and have done it for years with no problems. I have a champion 3500 and it works great. They are on the loud side though. We typically run 4 400 watt, 2 250 watt high pressure sodium lights and a trolling motor off it.
