i hope people will understand that it is safe to vape and this is a result of not taking precautions to carry batteries the proper way. In your pockets with keys and any other metal objects is a bad idea.

Did you not read the thread? There were no keys in my pocket. The battery was in the pocket with nothing else.

99% of all these cases are because of cheap knock off batteries and mods carried in the pocket. There is little to none of stories of batteries just spontaneously com busting. there is usually a reason why the explode and vent.

I used to think that too.

Truth is that Li-ion batteries can become unstable and have a run away reaction with no external stimulation. It's rare but it happens, for insurance in my pocket.

I know you don't want to believe me, but stop on by and see my keys, they weren't in my pocket. No burn no singe no soot. No melt on the FOB or plastic coated keys.

Look at my equipment list, I don't buy junk.

Some manufactures are worse than others but what I have found out since is that no LI-ion rechargeable battery is 100% safe.

I believe you I'm just saying it's rare. And if "other people's" stories were explained honestly there would be less people afraid of vaping. which in turn has more people smoking cigs

Just got out and waiting for my post op consult. But I think I got a temp dredging nd we punted to see if I need a graft, which I dont want, in a few weeks.

Man that sucks! You could try lidocaine gel on the burns if they aren't open. It's the same stuff they use for hemorrhoids..lol
