Just got home and here is how he looks....not good at all...
I've located a suitable QT tank and everything else i need...i just dont have the Cypro yet! Probably wont get here until Friday..maybe tomorrow if i'm lucky. Should have been ready for this so my bad..
OK got the HT ready to go,10 gallon tank, heater, power head and i have a led light fixture as well. Here it is:
I also have the Cypro on hand thanks to a fellow reefer. So now do I disolve the cypro in the tank before putting the carpet in there or after? Being this is a 10 gallon tank, do I use one full 250mg tablet? The tank is not completely full so its not a full 10 gallons in there. Looking for direction to proceed with treatment, thanks all in advance.
It looks like you got nearly 10 gal in there. 250 mg of Cipro should be OK. Pt him in then disolve the tablet or disolves it first then put him in it really doesn't matter.
Good luck with him
I will be using this thread for updates and progress. Got him in the tank about an hour ago, here's a pic of him right after i put him in:
The cypro disolves pretty easily as Mihn says in his sticky. I did read the instructions but i just want to make sure as i've never done this before. So I should not give him any light for the remainder of the day correct? I would imagine I will have the light on tomorrow morning for a minimum of 6-8 hrs. Also regarding water changes, if i understand correctly i need to do a 50% water change daily and dose 125mg cypro after that?
Keep us update. Use water from your DT to treat in HT (just saw your question regarding this), and add newly mix water to the DT. I always mix the salt water at least 24 hrs in advance.
He is a very beautiful anemone. Good luck, and I hope you will be able to save him.
Here's my first update on him. This picture was taken right after i turned on the lights. The one thing i noticed that he hasn't done before is attach to the bottom of the glass. I have yet to see him until now attach to anything.
I tried taking shots of every angle and a closeup. At what interval should the water change be done today? Do I wait 24hrs since I put in the first cypro dose?
I was going to comment on that... Something like 'there is the problem'...
It does look a bit better and I am glad it attached. After a water change I think you will be able to do the next dose. Read back through that sticky and see. Lights out of course.
