Got fish? No? You want some?

I am about to consolidate a couple of my systems and do some other reefing madness and have decided to really examine my tankmates. I typically have added fish when they were available or had no homes and not necessarily because I actually wanted them. I love fish, but really want to actually build my systems more selectively than I have in the past.

So what does this mean to you? I am looking for folks who can provide my tankmates good homes. They will be available soon (within a week or 2), so I am just taking reservations now so I know what to do with the little devils once I actually catch them.

The only thing I ask is that you have a good safe home for them and share the wealth when you outgrow them too (or they outgrow you ;) ).

So, here is the list (pics to follow - just wanted to get this out there sooner).

1) Pair of false perculas - approx 1.5" for the larger one (assume it will become female)
2) Charub Pygmy Angel - very large at 2"
3) Yellow tang - adult, bright yellow
4) 6x Blue devil damsels - surprisingly they are well behaved as far as damsels go
5) 3x three striped damsels - again moderately behaved
6) Possible mated pair of gold banded maroons. Have not totally decided on these guys just yet.

Locals only please - have not mastered the art of shipping fish. :(

I would like #2 and 6 please :D The pair would do nicely in my 24 g nano, currently fishless.

Xia, EagleONE also sent a PM later for the pygmy. I also mixed up #1, and #4... sheesh. I thought I was on here late, but you all are night owls!

2) pending to EagleONE
3) pending to edsimmons
4) pending to EagleONE
6) pending to xia if I decide to get rid of them - should know when I remove the other fish. These are pretty aggressive fish (at least the female is)

Sorry for the mixup!

Xia, the maroon pair are very large fish. The female is at least 5" and mean towards corals/fish/snails that are too close to her home... e.g. within 2ft :( I have literally lost hundreds of $$$ from this fish ripping corals off the rocks and feeding them to the bubble/anenome/sandbad. She can actually break an acro colony right off at the base and carry it to the other end of the tank in her mouth and spit it out. I would not have believed it until I saw it for myself. You think they will be ok in your 24 gal?

Not trying to scare ya, just setting the expectation for this rather aggressive fish. ;)

If Xia decides against the clowns I will take them Mike... BTW Xia, when you see them there is no chance in HELL that you would put them in a 24 gallon :D!!!! I hope my 240 can handle the ferocity of the female's wrathe.

It's funny - I have a GBM and had to move him to my 12G nano. He was being picked on by the chromis!

If I did not know any better I would say she takes it personal. When I am in there adjusting the corals, adding new ones, etc. those are the ones she targets next. Very protective of that anemone oh hers and definitely tries to let me know who really is in charge of the reef design. D$mn fish... :D

#1, and #5 potentially still available. I have not heard back from the new guy.

Paul you have the maroons if I decide to let them go. I wanted to wait until after the others were out so its good to know there is a home for them if I do. In spite of her being so vicious, character is something that dish does not lack.

I'll take #1 if the other guy doesn't respond, I can pick it up when I come over for the 10G.

For that matter, I could give the striped damsels a home as well; again, if the previous poster does not respond...

Ok folks, Items 1,2,3 will be available today! The rest will be avail next week (soon as I catch the little devils) Ed Simmons, and eagleONE you are up.

1,2,3 picked up - enjoy! 4,5 should be ready early next week or when they decide to allow me to catch them.

Shively - have you down for #5
eagleONE - have you down for #4

I think your talking about me, BUT I never got a reply. If theres anything left give me a call at 813-8949 (I'm the guy that bought your Sailfin Tang awhile back).

Jim

Oh hey Jim! I had no idea it was you... just saw a 1 post new guy and was a bit skeptical. I sent you a PM awhile back and did not get a response, so I gave the percs away to the next folks in line. I still am gathering the striped damsels if you are still interested.

Again, sorry about the mixup. I try to keep this as fair as possible, but rarely suceed without messing something up along the way. BTW, how is that Sailfin doing?

Great news! I have all but 2 of the blue devils caught. Please come over this weekend to pick up the fish. I have to take them to the LFS if they are not picked up by Monday.

Thanks!
