Hey Roger i got my 7095 today! looks GREAT! very well made.

one question befoe setting it up,

i am goign to use interval 2 which has channel 1 operating at 100% and channel 2 operating at 30%,

now my question i was thinking of switching them over or the interval between them being about 10-15 mintues.

is that a good amount of time? i do not really wan to go for an hour or even a ahlf hour bcause i want to keep my SPS happy and since i have all SPS in a 180 i want to keep them happy.

anyways, heres a link to a thread in which we disccused the palcment of my streams,, i changed to lower left one in the back corner to the other side lower corner pointing along the back. so its still low in the tnak like 12-14 inches but on the other side galss.

anyway let me know what you think!

thanks Roger!

and great product! worth the wait!

One of the pumps will actually pulse not just run at 00%, you can switch them as fast as you want but the tides change every 6hrs so this would be the most natural, to have one pulse for 6 hours while the other idles and then have them switch.

one more question for you,

can i run the moonlight 24/7? or do i have to shut it off when my main lights come on?

also can it get splashed alittle or is this a BIG no no?

thanks!

Nick

It is water proof but I still wouldn't submerge it. It cannot be run when the lights are on.

oh ok, will the main lights do somehting to it?

i know i wont be able to see the moonlight when the main lights are on, but will the 7095 keep the 29 day lunar cycle even if i shut the moonlight off during the day when the main lights are on? MHs by the way.

thanks!

Nick

Rodger, correct me if I am wrong here:

The photoelectric cell is actually a light switch. When your lights are switched on this causes teh photoelectric cell to switch the moon LED off and put the 7095 in normal mode. When it detects your lights switch off it then puts the 7095 in night mode and switchres the moon LED on.

The moon phase is nothing more than the 7095 counting the number of times the photoelectric cell switches off and on. You can deomstrates this by flashing a flashlight onto the photoelectric cell at night. With every flashlight flash you will see the moon LED adjust it's brightness!

I have found that you really want to place the photoelectric cell in a place where it can detect your main lights switching on and off, but also will not be triggered by ambient light if you open your hood. Also you want a good moonlight position! Took me quiet a while to find such a place on my tank but now I have one and it works great!

you are talking about something else. the photocell is an add on you have to buy to switch your 7095 into night mode.

IN my case i do NOT want it to go into night mode. the current would not be strong enough at 30%.

can that photocell just switch on the moonlight?

thanks!

Nick

The photocell is built in on the 7095. It is on the moonlight and you can select on the controller, night mode/ moonlight or both. Just have only moonlight illuminated on the controller and the night mode feature will be off.

ok so i just keep the moonlight button light 24/7?

i was under the impression that i had to shut it off in the morning so it wouldnt run while my mian lights were on.

so i just leave it on 24/7 then? i mean in the moonlight mode?

thanks!

Nick

It is automatic, it comes on as soon as your lights go out. It will get one step dimmer or brighter every time it comes on to simulate all of the lunar phases.

thanks again Roger! i will leave the green moonlight button on 24/7!

great product!

thanks!

Nick
