Got my TDS meter!

Lets bring them to the Jan meeting and compare. It may be a calibration thing. I don't have mine yet, was there a manual that came with them?

I have a different brand TDS meter, but typical readings at our house:

Tap 400-700ppm
RO 40-60ppm
RO/DI 0-20ppm

RO and RO/DI depends on how old the membrane/filters/media are and I use the numbers as an indicator of when I need to do maintenance.

Awhile back I bought a couple of these - figured WTH, its pretty cheap. With the same water sample, I get 2 very different readings with 2 brand new units. So, take your $.72, you are getting a far better deal in my opinion.

Well, I immediately rinsed mine with RODI after testing my salt water. If anyone really wants one I'll trade a frag of something for it. I get my water from my LFS and if it's not good then I'll either deal with it or get out of the hobby. It's already a pain to lug water jugs around. I'm not going to be using this thing at all.

Did you guys put the new batteries in once you got it? The batteries that were in mine were dead, so i put the new ones in right away. Mine is working fine and it's good to know how good my tap water and ro water is.

Mine finally arrived and its working great!

Water coming out of my 5 stage RO unit. 5 TDS
Water coming out of my tap. 171 TDS
Water in my Frontosa chichlid tanks 714 TDS & 685 TDS

Local water source (Franklin and E.G.Blvd) is much cleaner than I expected it to be.

This proves to me that I do need to set up a final DI stage for polishing off my water. But I think 5 TDS is pretty good.

If you are still waiting i would have to say it got cancelled. Happed to some guys on BAR.

Order got cancelled but they were still charged but i think they got it resolved
