gotta catch a hawk

I JUST let the little bugger out of quarantine and the next day he shows signs of ich. Now I can't catch him. Anybody have an advice short of removing all the rock or dynamite?

Some type of fish trap maybe?

To be more specific one like a bottle with the neck cut off and inverted type thing that will let the fish in but have a hard time getting out and it's favorite food placed in the trap.

leave the net in the tank so it gets use to seeing it. Wait till lights are off (morning is best) and you should be able to get him pretty easy

I read once to have the tank completely dark then kick all of the lights on all of a sudden. They said this will temporarily blind the fish and if you move fast enough they will just remain still. (I have never tried this)

don't worry about catching him, use garlic to treat the ich.. won't harm anything else in the tank. You can use the garlic extreme from Kent I believe, but when I had my hippo tang (those things get ich if you look at them the wrong way) I used to use a teaspoon of juice from minced garlic in a 55 gallon setup.. it increases the appetite of the fish and they are able to fight it off naturally. I did that once every other day until the ich went away...

catching them... I usually end up pulling all the rock out of the tank and catching them without anywhere to hide... in a 55 it's a pia.. can't imagine doing that in anything bigger...
