Aside from turning off lights for a week...

... or "renting" my rocks to a tang owner...

... any ideas on killing a vast amount of G. Textorii in a 24 gallon?!?! ...

I've heard Abalone eat it very well! BTW the green candy is getting huge! I can't believe how fast the thing grows. If there is anything I can do to help you out let me know!

Thanks, good idea Dfish. Teremei, Happy to pull up as much as I can if you pick it up!

Hope you can get things under control! Have you checked your phosphate level lately? Do you run phosban or ROWAphos?

PO4 nonexistent on Salifert test (the only one I have, so a comparison may be warranted).

It may well be attributed to busy (read *lazy*) summer and lack of maintenance. I'll try a sock of Phosban and try to get back in the weekly H20 change swing...

How did gracilaria get into your display in the first place?

Me, I want it in my fuge and can't get it to grow. Just dies off rapidly. I've been told it needs a lot of nutrients in the water, and with my large skimmer, carbon, conservative feeding nd water changes my water is likely "too clean" to grow gracilaria.

So I guess if you clean your water...
