Cool. I take it they're breeding them in S. America? I think the Shedd is the only place to have bred those up here. Even among zoos and aquariums they are rare.

He said this one was capitive bred.

Dennis mentioned that there are only 6 of them in captivity in the US. I tend to believe it as I've never seen anything like it at any of the shops I've been to.

I think it may be 6 institutions. I'll ask the herp guys tomorrow what they can tell me about them. They are super active and fun to watch!

Stopped by today for the first time.
Dennis gave me a tour of his filtration system and talked of his plans for his display tanks. He also talked about some great upcoming blowout sales.

Great customer service!
It may be a little out of the way for me but it's worth the extra drive. Sometimes I just get tired of the indifferent customer service I get from some of our LFS's. Maybe it's just me but feeling like a valued customer (along with great prices) makes all the difference in the world to me.

He's still working on stocking his tanks but it's such a nice store with good prices and great potential.

Not unless things have changed since he opened. Something about the property owner not wanting the gate open on Sundays.
