I would like to Thank Manny and Scott for a great lesson on acrylic work. This will come in handy in the near future for my new Frag Tank.
BTW Scott enjoy your visit to So. Florida

I agree I think they both spoke very well and got the point across how to do DIY acrylics .

Yes, thanks to BOTH...
I loved the info and the fact that they helped me decide that I will NOT be doing any acrylic work any time soon.
So Manny get ready, cause I am coming to you for my projects....

Excellent presentation! I'm already planning to tackle a frag tank for myself in the not too distant future. I'll need to plan out the final dimensions (thinking roughly 24x24x12), but I may be looking for someone to split an acrylic sheet with.

Jeff was very well spoken and was extremely PRO

It definately made me realize sometimes it is better to let a pro with a C&C machine handle it!

Manny was great too!

The look on Jeffs face was priceless :eek2: when that member touched touched the tank while he was gluing it and it slid across the table.
Thank God it didn't cure before he got it all back into place...

I think everyone's face went a little :eek2: when the tank slid on the bottom. But it was still an excellent meetings! I want manny to come back one day and teach us all to make DIY Skimmers or reactors, etc... that would be cool...

And I finally got Cinnamon Polyps, I've been trying to get some of those for a while!! Thanks to whoever brought them!

your welcome any time guys is good to learn something new every day some people will try to make there own acrylic work and some will get it done the only advice i have is if you don't have all the tools just give it a ruff calculation and you will see is better to get it made now if you do have the tools is a really different story

BTW thanks to all of you guys and the club for let us bore you guys lol

I learned a few things today. For sure it will help me and I will use it some day. if not on the tank then on the home, business, and so on!

What this made me realize about acrylic work, even though i work with it for Conceptual event purposes, is that when it comes to aquariums it's definately better to let the pro's do it. Now that i saw everything that comes into play with making your own DIY projects, the only time i can really see this to be fitting is when you have an odd space that you want to put a tank in. Such as an in wall tank or like the one that Jack, the gentleman who always shows up in his Armed Services unform, told me he's planning. Jack has an odd position where he wants to go 8ft long but only has about 90inches and not 96. I think that is the perfect situation for a custom tank as opposed to when a Standard production tank can be used. I was shocked at the small auction, since i've only been there when theres 70 some off pieces, but at the same I learned something new and that's the reason i go to these meetings.
