Green bubble algae

I introduced a substrate and a tang into my system, together I think things are a little off kilter. Does anyone have a fish that chows on this stuff? Emeralds are okay in my experience but I hate seeing them fly across my tank to eat snails, kill my other inverts when they molt, and flip frags.

It's just a 30 gallon. I have read that adult sailfin's are potential but there aren't very many reliable posts about that behavior, and even if I upgrade I doubt it will be to anything > 125g. I've seen one video of a yellow tang clearly eating GBA no idea on the true size of that fish. This stuff is tough.

I have a 29g, and I just gently pick off the bubbles every time I do a water change. They usually come off in tact. Maybe this is a possibility?

i'm with Lizzy. I see 'em. I get 'em out. (besides...is this weird? i like to pop them in the sink...it's like bubble wrap. yes folks, this is the raspberry brandy talking.)

except when it comes to bubble algae (feeble attempt to stop the derail)...if you can pick them off outside the tank...do so...cause if they pop inside the tank...you will have more later.

FYI there was a thread a while back where some of us wondered how well they'd splatter when dropped from the stairs. Turns out it was quite disappointing...

haha, well if you throw them at the ground hard, they will pop, but some really good ones if tossed to the ground will bounce back, and have a lot of force behind this bounce. please, dont ask how i know this.

I don't have any right now, but when I do, I'll try an idea I saw in a thread a while back. Take a piece of rigid airline tube and cut it diagonally to sharpen one end. Attach it to some soft tubing and start a siphon and poke the bubble. The insides should siphon away.
