Green Carpet acting weird, I don't know what's up.

I have a green carpet that has turned a very pretty shade of purple. I don't know if that's good or bad as far as it's health is concerned, But I like the way it looks.

Iwill start with it's conditions. It's right under a 250 MH and 4 80ish watt t5 per side of tank. It is 90% sps so my turnover on the tank is 60x on a 240, so I have alot of flow.

I thought of all the conditions before he was placed and the tank was a aquascaped. He is was a major cnisideration in the tank because the tank really revolves around Nemo and his dad (false percs). The clowns were what started the reef obsession, so they are the highlight of it.

To get back to the issues, he is not happy. he has been cruising around a section of the tank for a while now. Just last week he worked his way up to the top of the tank and ended up in my tunze 6100, which was the worst powerhead in the tank to mess with.

He came away from that 99% intact with just a few little tiny marks, surprised me also. He now is halfway hidden under a rock slab, staying out of the light.

My questions would be, is this not the right tank for him? Is there a good spot for him(shade, light, high flow, low), would I be better off with a different anemone?

they do best win shade with medium to light flow--it sand is blown on them they get upset also.. If you can tuck it away in a darker corner of the tank.

Based on the pic, I don't see anything wrong with the anemone. It may have been bleached when you got it and the color it is showing now is the natural coloration.
My Green Haddoni is situated right under my 400watt Aqua Connect bulb and I have comparable flow in my tank. I originally put mine in a shaded part of the tank and it was not happy so it moved about 2' and parked directly under my M/H.

that's another good point with anenome's---if they are staying put it "usually" means they are happy with their surroundings.
