I am considering buying a green carpet anemone and my quesiton is how much nitrate can they tolerate. My nitrate level is about 80 ppm.

I also have four 96 w compaq flor lighting is that enough? Medium water flow from four returns no extra jets.

On a 200 gallon tank, that certainly seems to be lacking. While it may not be the absolute best environment for them, healthy carpet anemones (assuming S. haddoni) are extremely tolerant of nitrate and phosphate.

ok so how what do you recommend for lighting in my tank, i have been hearing that a 400 watt metal halide would do the job. What about the water flow?

as far as lighting goes 2-3 250w MHs would be perfect for a carpet anemone. lumenarc reflectors are really good at helping the light reach the bottom of the tank(24" of depth or less is optimal for 250w MH)

for flow you can add tunze streams or something equal to them.(modified maxi jet, hydor koralia)
