About a week ago I purchased a beautiful green carpet, not my first crack at one, I had one with great success in my last reef aquarium but it was more of the brown color. This one gave me a bit of trouble at first, wouldn't settle in but after digging a hole in the sand I got him to stay put. My only concern with him is he doesn't seem to be inflating to his total size BUT isn't shriveled either. The color is right where it should be, it responds to touch as well as eats readily. I know it's best to not feed during acclimatization but I had to see how it would react. My other concern is it's mouth. It never really closes up and it appears that a very small portion of the very inner of it's mouth is out. It does close up briefly on occasion but then opens back up, not much, about the size of a pen. Water doesn't smell, no excess mucus and it looks like it's firmly attached to the bottom of the aquarium but it's hard to tell since I can't see under it. Water parameters are dead on, lights are Evergrow IT 2080 I believe, it's the 36 inch model. There is two power heads pointing at eachother that create just the right amount of water movement, my green plate coral is huge and beautiful to watch. I tried putting some pics up so I hope they show. Am I worried for nothing, more time to acclimate maybe and if it does have an infection what can be done. A sick anemone is something I've never dealt with so I'm not sure what's available for them. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.
