Green clown goby SPS safe?

I got a green clown goby (Gobiodon histrio) as a freebie today and am wondering if these guys are safe to be around SPS or if they will nip on the polyps.

Yes and no. In a mature reef ie larger colonies not really. A tank with small frags definitely.

I don't find them to do any harm unless you have a pair and they are spawning. They lay eggs on acropora's all over the place every few days and will kill the entire coral in a few months. I lost some large pieces. But if you onlyhave one, there should be no problem.

I keep all types of gobi's, these spawn all the time

I have a little yellow clown who irritates all the acros in my small 29 gallon tank. He especially annoys the millis. Depending on tank size I would say no, too risky.
