Green Hair Algae battle

Wheres everyone buying this? and does it matter if its capsules or tablets?

You should be able to get it at the LFS under the name
"œReef flux" they are 200 mg capsules & I gotta say, the BEST algae treatment ever!

First do a 20% water change. Use One 200mg capsule per 10 gallons. I opened each pill and poured the fulconazole into a 3/4 filled water bottle. Throw away the empty capsule. Close the cap and shake the bottle to disolve everything. Turn off your skimmer, take out your carbon, and turn off your UV if you have one. Pour the fluc over a powerhead so it gets spread out evenly thru your tank. You should see improvement after about a week. After 2 weeks it should be all gone. Do another 20% water change. If GHA is still present, repeat another cycle. Good luck!

Quick question, so no dosing daily? Just dose once and wait approximately 2 weeks with carbon and skimmer off?

No dosing daily. Remove all carbon. You can still run the skimmer, just remove the collection cup. After 2 weeks do a 20% water change. Suck out the loose dead hair algae. It may turn into red slime, if so try to suck most of it out. I used ChemiClean to remove the red slime. Works great!
