green hair algae on zoa frag

i have always done straight peroxide for like 30 seconds. no issues ever

100% peroxide dip?
First time I've heard about that.
Even though it's only for 30 seconds I wouldn't recommend it.
It would kill any of the zoanthids I have here right away!!!
The higher I went was a 50% and the zoas were really affected by the peroxide!!
10% Hydrogen peroxide to 90% water is what I recommend to start with.
We could go up to a 40% Hydrogen peroxide to 60% water, but it could harm zoas, depending on how long and the species we are treating.
We can use tank water or tap water. I like tap water most of the time. I don't think it makes much difference to tell the truth.
When we do the 10-40% deal most zoas will open right after the dipping.
That's what is also important.

I have two zoa frags in QT I dipped in coral RX then a few days later in a 4:1 3% peroxide solution, 4 min with no algae change over the 4 days after treatment. The algae has not grown in the last two weeks it's been QT any suggestion on dipping with peroxide or what I may be dealing with, hate to toss them out if they can be saved.

Photo below is a piece pulled off that has been in the solution four days.

I'm assuming you are talking about 4 parts of water to 1 Hydrogen Peroxide, right?

How much water/peroxide needs to be used? Drops? A cup? I want to give this a try

You can start with 10% Hydrogen Peroxide to 90% water (fresh or tank water).
I use tap water.
It doesn't matter if you use a 5gallon bucket or a small container for the dips.
You just have to deal with the percentage.
Normally 25% hydrogen peroxide to 75% water will solve most problems.
If you use less Hydrogen peroxide they will open sooner.

Peroxide at 4 parts tank water to 1 part 3% peroxide for 5 minutes does a good job on green hair algae ,red turf alge , ime; not on bryopsis which comes right back ,though.
