Green Mushrooms love me... nothing else

I love rics, discoma, corallimophs as a whole. The problem is I can't keep them alive. However, I have giant green metallic elephant ears that grow and spread as well as bright green fuzzies that multiply like crazy. I have always placed rics etc. at the bottom of the tank approx. 30" from MH's. Still no success. I run radiums, have good tank params, is it too much light even at that distance? I really wish I could have rics etc. Any help?

No love? I find it weird that some mushrooms thrive while the rics won't. Any help?

have u tried putting them under a ledge to start to get them used to it or maybe starting with a smaller photo period.

I suppose the next time I get some... I will see what lights they are under there first and how many hours. My lights are on 11 hours. I think you may have a good idea about starting them under a ledge though.

wow, 11 hours....most of the time i see that the rics are slightly shaded or way off to the side under MH, thats probably your issue, especially with shrooms....i always start shrooms and rics out on the edge of the light and then work them forward, works well with rics, but shrooms hate me...

11 hours is a real long photo period.
