Green slimer not green anymore

Hello all I recieved a green slimer about a year ago and as expected beacause I didnt have good enought lights and water quality it turned brown. Since then ive corrected all all the things I was doing wrong and have upgraded all my equipment as seen in my signature. Now eve ef ythung has been stable for awhile and im wondering why my green slimer has not turned back green. Its purple now with veeery little polyp extension, I have it placed in the upper portion of my tank about 10 inthecs from my light. My question is why wont it turn back green with the good polyp extention. The guy that gave it to me still has very green coloring and good polyp extention on his green slimer. Just need help as to whats is the problem and what I can to to get that good green coloring.

My slimer went brown for like 5 months. I dismissed it and tossed it in the back of the tank, The other day I was checking out my tank and noticed a NEON metallic green thing in the back..

So how long has it been a while since the switch over? As long it's growing, I would just give it time and not move it around much.

Yeah you will have to give it time it can take mounths before it colors back .

Its been about 3 mos with stable water quality and about 2 with my new ati lights, I guess it needs a few more months for it to get used to the new changes of my tank.

Yeah it can take some time just leave it be and wait. Make sure it has good flow and I dont see a skimmer in your sig.
