Yep, Pro Clear ProStar tanks are all built rimless. No eurobrace expert but yeah adding 3-4" strips will beef it up. If the tank came without them I wouldn't worry though.

Just for reference, Ive had a Pro-clear 230 for 6 years now and very happy.Yep, Pro Clear ProStar tanks are all built rimless.
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. So, you use the ball/gate valves to tune the overflow? Would you recommend against removing those valves and straight plumbing to the sump? (NOTE: I am not using their sump, I am going to plumb through a wall and the eShopps sump will be in the fish room behind the wall.)Just for reference, Ive had a Pro-clear 230 for 6 years now and very happy.
It’s a beast at 468lbs dry and built with 19mm glass.
Seals continue to perform and its aluminum stand solid, flat and ridged.
Dual overflows take some tuning. Water level is within an inch from the top.
A very happy customer!View attachment 32415185
I have only ever had Aqueon braced tanks and I feel more secure with bracing but I agree with the others, it was fine before and should be when you fill it.
You could apply some more of wvned's holy water and garlic? LOL
I have a ball gate for both overflows and the return but would be used only if I needed to stop the flow for some reason which is yet to occur. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Yes, it is.Re "It’s hard to do much with gate valves but on or off. Good ball ones are a way more tuneable option". Isn't this backwards?

@Uncle99 what are using for your return pump from sump to tank 15ft above?I have a ball gate for both overflows and the return but would be used only if I needed to stop the flow for some reason which is yet to occur.
Each is also connected with a quick union again, no sure why, just seemed sensible
I run all three wide open and simply increase my return pump speed until overflows go quiet, then, that’s max flow speed to me.

My sump is 15ft below the DT in the basement.

Jebao 15000 LPH@Uncle99 what are using for your return pump from sump to tank 15ft above?
When I had my basement sump (just prior to my 75g set up in Sept) and I also used a Jabao 6000 for 10-11 ft head pressure and still put out 400gph at the return nozzle into the tank. Like Uncle99, I loved mine. It was dead silent, ran for 8 years perfectly. I still have it if anyone needs a return pump cheap. I would even throw in the HOB overflow box as I am not going to use a sump anymore and have no need for either of these.Jebao 15000 LPH
Love their return pumps. Silent. Inexpensive.
Only needs to run at 72%, so lots of push still available.
I’ve used a 20000 lph Jebao as well running at 55%

Thanks...have you ever run them externally from the sump. I've heard good things about them but I also heard the pump housing leaks when run outside the sump.Jebao 15000 LPH

Mine states something like, “for submersible use only.”Thanks...have you ever run them externally from the sump. I've heard good things about them but I also heard the pump housing leaks when run outside the sump.
I used my inside the sump as well.Thanks...have you ever run them externally from the sump. I've heard good things about them but I also heard the pump housing leaks when run outside the sump.
Nope, never, always in water.Thanks...have you ever run them externally from the sump. I've heard good things about them but I also heard the pump housing leaks when run outside the sump.
