Youāre is the same weather belt so, you should be getting this heavy, wet snow tooWhy is there snow in the basement?
Looking good
Wow George, where do you live that you had enough snow to shovel?Got a little further but, my back is killing me from shoveling snow so I stopped for the day.
Weāre in a suburb of St. Louis, MO. We usually donāt get snow this early in the year but got about 6ā. Supposedly, weāre going to get up to another inch today.Wow George, where do you live that you had enough snow to shovel?
Man, both east and west of us (Pittsburgh area) folks are getting snow and we got nothin'!Weāre in a suburb of St. Louis, MO. We usually donāt get snow this early in the year but got about 6ā. Supposedly, weāre going to get up to another inch today.
Have you heard the law of thirds? Artists use this principle to decide where they want the viewer to look more intently. Divide the tank in thirds and where those thirds intersect, make that a focal point in your tank, maybe by making the rockwork have a high point there. Or maybe by using one of your flatter rocks to make a plateau there. Think about placing your favorite or showcase coral there. Think about ending rockwork at one of the thirds so that a there is a sand valley and then make the other side of rockwork be almost 2/3s of the tank. I used this principle in both my artwork and the rockwork. Of course you dont have to do something at all those intesecting points but it can be a guideline. Sorry about the douple pic.Okay, asking for input. I donāt have an artistic bone in my body. All my aquascaping always ends up looking like the typical 1980s/90s rock wall.
Iāve got some dry rock Iām going to start the scape with. Once water hits the tank, Iāll order some aquacultured rock to get things going and eventually move the rock from the existing tank over.
So, anyone good at aquascaping and what would you do? Footprint of the tank is 60āx26ā.
Still have to finish drywall in the fish room, then run plumbing and setup the filtration.
Thanks Dawn. The rocks on the left werenāt meant to be a structure lol. Theyāre just rocks Iām not sure what to do with yet.The rock structure on the right looks nice. If it were my tank I would move it forward and to the right about an inch and a half. Then I would take the little rock in the back right corner and try moving it to the front left of your rock structure on the right to make like a finger coming out of the rock structure. Fingers off an island of rockwork is always nice.
On the left rockwork structure can you take that little triangular rock in the front right of that structure and turn it point up to make a small peak?
Maybe none of these ideas will improve but try and see if it appeals to you.
Ha ha, how many of us did that until we finally realized if you just put a bowl in the tank, put the water in the bowl and let it overflow, it wont get nearly as cloudy! The pro method
Dont rinse the sand. Add the water and while you cant see anything pile the rocks up.
The water clears and surprise.
