Pro Clear definitely used silicone. If they used a rubber gasket and silicone together, I think that may be the case.

Removed the silicone from inside the hole in the glass. Standpipe is sitting MUCH more solid (not as wobbly as before). Added 1 gallon of water to the weir…still a slow leak.

When the gasket material arrives tomorrow, I’ll cut to size and see if that eliminates the leak. If not, I’ll drain the tank and take a sledgehammer to it.

Just kidding😂🤣

I would have just done a smush of silicone like this. I'm pretty sure I would already be assembled and cured for 24 hours if it was me, lol. There'd be a healthy smush on the bottom side too.

My Amazon order of the gasket material delivery time was changed to later in the day. It's now 3:15-6:15, waiting...

I’m starting to think I might not get the gasket material in time to cut it and test it out. Amazon delivery is not showing as 4:15-6:15.

23 minutes, no leak. Adding 2 more quarts of water and will continue that every 20 minutes until the overflow is filled.

If I haven't said it before, I think your work and dedication with this is amazing. You could have your own YouTube channel, like those kids that do the house fix-ups.
Thanks. I'm not much for social media...guess I'm too old and cranky.

Got my hopes up too soon☹️. Still leaking. I’ll drain the overflows and use silicone to try to seal it. If that doesn’t work🤷🏻‍♂️
