Group buy anyone?

The supplier for got to add the basket starfish to the package or he didn't have them in stock. That's the number 1 MAIN reason I organized the hole group buy because I've always wanted a Basket Starfish even before I had my 180 gallon, now that I do have a 180 gallon reef I didn't get it. :( I emailed him to see whats up. Sure hope he sends it out soon.

Moses:

Thanks for putting this together. Everything's doing great!! Hope they take care of the star fish for you.
Np. :) They emailed me back and they said they didn't ship the starfish because it wasn't looking too good. Which is a good thing that they don't ship out livestock that doesn't look too good. He was asking if I wanted a refund and I asked him if he can just ship the livestock to me when they start to look better. So, we will see what happens next.

Yeah, thanks for helping out. I guess my stuff is doing well. It all scattered into the 125g money-pit and I have not seen anything but a snail!

Np. :) Yeah, the SW hobby is a big money-pit. lol

Mine look nice as well. I was a little concerned with the way the sponges were packaged. There was a decent size air pocket in the bags with the sponges and I know they arent supposed to be exposed to air. Im prob just being paraoid. I dont have alot of experience with sponges though. The colors are nice as well as the sizes. I really like the orange rod. I think it will color up nicely. Thanks again for the opportunity Moses. So whens the next one!!?? LOL

The supplier said the sponges will be perfectly fine. He said hes been handling sponges for about 20 years or so and he said they will be fine if they are exposed to air for a little bit. Now, I've been dieing to see your sponges, especially the ball sponge with the encrusted zoas. PICS PLZ! :D I think the next one will be pretty soon. :p lol

Here are some pics. Sorry for the poor quality.

Red Sea Ball. I had to place that chunk in front of it. My Clown kept moving the sponge to the front of the tank!!!

VERY nice!! My Orange Sea Rod lost alot of its flesh too. :( But my purple gorgonian opened up its WHITE polyps are looks absolutely gorgeous!!

I dont feel so bad about the rod now. Maybe it was the batch. Where did you place yours? My purple had its polyps out too and I have him in super heavy flow and right under the halides. It seems that most my gorgnia types like super flow and hi light.

Yeah, must have been a bad batch. I put my orange rod like 3 inches away from the purple gorgonian. The purple gorgonian is in very high flow and is right under a 250 watt DE MH as well. What color polyps does your purple gorgonian have? Also, I sent you a PM.

Why waste your money and support vendors who sell animals that won't live in captivity??  If you have read about them then you should know it won't live.

Sorry to get on a soapbox but it kills me to still see these types of animals being brought in for the trade.

I've read lots about them. There are quite a bit of people that have had success with them.
