GROUP BUY - Reef Radiance

As some of you know I recently purchased some new LED light fixtures from this company! The customer service has been unbelievable!!! I have been talking back and forth with the owner Rick and have convinced him to try and give all the members of FMAS a extraordinary deal. I have talked him into lowering his price even more from the previous sale he had going just for FMAS if anyone is interested. I have already bought mine so I can not be part of the group buy, but the one good thing he is willing to do is ship to individual addresses instead of one and then having to go pick it up!

Here is the special link he has made for us , there are a couple different fixtures. I believe the Evergrow fixtures on his link are the same as the reefbreeders but a lot less than even the sale they were having. Anyways Happy 4th and if you have any questions just email Rick, real nice guy!

Pretty good deals... the Evergrow IT2040 is like the D120 except with moon lights and built-in timer/ controllers...

Group buy for fmas

Group buy for fmas

Hi everyone, My name is Rick Schott and I am founder of Reef Radiance. I want to say thanks to skng2011 and FMAS for inviting me to this Group Buy. As he posted he purchased some of our LEDs and asked me to offer this pricing exclusive to your group and I am doing that. Take a look at the the prices of the 3 items we have on the Group Buy link - that is only for FMAS. You can also go to www.reefradiance.com if you want to see other items we sell. We are adding items regularly so if you do not see what you want - email me directly at rick@reefradiance.com.

All the purchases will go directly to each individual buyers address - this makes it a lot easier for you.

And of course if you have any questions you can email me directly at rick@reefradiance.com.

Good Luck and Happy Reefing!

Rick

Awesome Price $129 for LEDs... I am got 2 sets; you will not find a light like this for this price ever anywhere, not even used ones. I believe you have to buy 10 as a group to take advantage of this deal... so 8 more to go if you deduct the two that I already order.

I agree!!! Can't go wrong!

Is this light similar to the Evergrow D120? I understand the dimensions are smaller and it has less LEDs but is the overall functionality the same?

One more question, how accurate do you guys think that Seneye Par Meter is? I don't need the other functionality since I have an Apex but at $99 the PAR meter function would be well worth it. Check this out: http://www.reefs.com/blog/2012/07/30/product-reviewseneye/

Thanks skng2011 by the way for a great find and thanks Rick for providing great deals to FMAS.

I don't know anything about the d120 but the DM132e are excellent lights, I have 2 of them over my 360g tank,I need 2 more but here's some comparison pics of the DM132e next to my 14k 250w Phoenix halides....

keep in mind, the Phoenix bulbs are in Lumen Bright pendants with Lumatek ballasts....high quality, expensive equipment Vs. very affordable LEDs that use less than half the power and cost less than my halide system....

I paid almost as much for each LB pendant as a DM132e costs, that's not counting the ballasts and bulbs

IMG_2989_zps91151ab5.jpg

notice how much more natural and colorful the LED lit side looks compared to the very blue halide side

these have separate power cords for each of the blue and white channels for easily simulating a dusk/dawn effect like you would with any other aquarium light with an aquarium controller or a pair of timers to turn each channel on/off at specific times....

the LEDs don't ramp up/down like with some of the more expensive LED systems but these do have separate dimmer knobs to set the max/min of each channel....

the "e" in the name means "enhanced" that is for the full spectrum colors added, the extra color LEDs are divided between the blue and white channels to create an evenly spread light, they also include 90 degree optics for really good penetration....

I looked at all the DIY LED sites trying to come up with a reasonably priced alternative to my halides, all of them were more expensive than the DM132e and there's no way I could build a fixture that looks even half as good as these...

these are by far the best money I ever spent on any piece of reefing equipment, these will pay for themselves within a few months in what they are saving me in power consumption, and no more bulb replacement :)

Hi Jgoal55,

I sell the DM-120 as well. It is a generic Chinese LED - not bad. The DM-132e is my exclusive design and is smaller and I think as do my customers much better looking. It has 44 3 Watt LEDS not 55. It has dual dimmers and Channel one allows for just blue colors so when you are using a timer the tank wakes up to just blue/violet and then the whites and colors come on and the reverse is the case at sunset. I am now selling the 5th generation of this light and the LEDs spectrum I think is perfect for coral growth and yet looks good when we look at the tank. And now it is $50 less than the DM0120. If you are looking for a very high quality light at below what I sell to wholesalers - then buy as many of these as you can. Really. Rick

The Seneye is the most accurate consumer PAR meter you can buy. It was designed in England and made in a small shop there one at a time. It was designed just for aquarium reef usage and not plants. Go to wwwreefradiance.com to find out more about it or use this link to see why it is the best PAR meter at any price. And you have an APEX - great controller but does not give you ammonia. And how about Kelvin and Lux? And PH and O2 and Temperature - all for for $99? Seriously guys, these prices are below distributor costs and this is only happening as I had some extra factory money left over and am giving it to you.

i've commented on many a shiller in the past. Banned a few too :d

lol - i am fairly new to reef central as you know - as a sponsor - but i see this and it makes my blood boil. Any one who is associated with us in any way is tagged with the reef radiance label on all posts - like it should be with anyone.

Glad you are on it bill!

Rick

Will a single DM-132e be enough for a 40 Breeder? its gonna be a full blown mixed reef
