Growing Copepods

Hey Im wanting to grow copepods. I ran across a couple of really good articles:

Do you know of any better designs to grow or culture everything needed to feed the copepods and grow them so I can in return harvest them for food for my tank?

Or would I just be better off just focusing on growing just the copepods like described in the first link?

Those articles are very old in terms of how far we've come since then. In fact, you will find more in depth info on this forum, and more up to date. I don't have time to search out the threads though, sorry.

Pods are very simple to cultivate. They tolerate water conditions that would kill most fish and inverts and feeding is simple. I grow mine in a 20g tank using nothing but a heater, light, air pump and phyto

Afraid that blanket statement doesn't hold true for quite a few species of copepods. Most pelagic copepods need pretty damn clean water, more so then corals in some cases. Particulates are an issue with them as well.

It is true there are some species of copepods that are rugged little beasts, and amphipods are just as hardy as those.
