Growth is in all directions instead of single thick branches

I have several sps that are encrusting and growing but not as super thick pieces. I have a green slimer and a milli, and the new branches are half as thick as the branches were when I acquired the pieces. Could it be that they had better lights etc.?

most likely a flow issue
from what I understand with out strong non laminar flow coral branches tend to grow skinnier

well having all kinds of powerheads really dont mean u have a lot of flow. direction of flow and randomness matters also with consistent flow but not directly on the coral.

I think it would improve in randomness and intensity. I have 3 koralia 3's and I'm going to try to get an mp10 or 40 today at the lfs for my 60. Dimensions are close to a 75, I'll let you know how it affects the tank if they have one in stock.

I think you have enough pumps but you may want to change them up so the flows crash into each other creating more turbidity or put them on a timer so the flow isn't laminar or consistant

+1 to both of Psteeleb's posts

more flow

make it random and turbid

acropora branches will grow thicker and closer together in response to a specific prey capture environment.
