Growth of a Garf Bonsai in 2 years!!

Out of curiosity, what mode do you run your vortech on the back of the tank and what % do you run it at?

As others have already said...... that is a very beautiful coral and an exceptional centerpiece! It really stands out in your tank.

I didn't know Garf Bonsai table like that. Is that considered normal growth pattern?

Yeah buddy, you my friend have more than just a knack for growing and setting up a reef but a true GIFT! If what you have is for sale ill mortgage the house to buy it! Amazing amazing amazing!

You state you dose but no where do you post that info. I read through your thread and didnt see anything and actually you mention just using a cal rx and carbon+gfo...whats the scoop? Aside from doing your homework and maximizing coral placement, whats your secret? lol please share what you know and do as I speak for us all, you humble the masses!

First of all, thanks :lol2:! I don't think I have any unusual secrets, but I'm just consistent in what I do. Here's my routine.....

1) 15-20% water changes every 2 weeks with ro/di & using Reef Crystals
2) I dose Reef Solution 2-3 per week using 10ml each time
3) Coral Feeding: Phyto Feast & Oyster Feast once per week & alternate couple times per month with Coral frenzy.
4) I change my bulbs pretty frequently every 6-9 months

I can't think of much more other than the equipment I use. Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

Ron

Thanks for the explanation. Somehow, your tank just stands out. Its so natural! These days all you see is zeo tanks with pale easter egg colors...its just so nice to see what its SUPPOSED to look like! Not knockin zeo, but fully rich colored healthy looking corals placed well and looked after with care trumps those systems everytime in my book!

Also, how is it living in San Diego? Me and the fam talk regularly about moving out there but the car and people congestion always turns me away especially since ive got anxiety issues to begin with! lol

WOW! very nice coral.
Amazing tank & colors.

Do you know your PO4 & Nitrates?
What do you feed this fish and how much? Also what fish do you have??
Carbon or GFO??

Plus an ASM g3 only for the skimmer.....shows overpowered skimmer not necassary. Good skimmer tho. Just would have expected more. But may explain the colors!

Thanks!
I don't check my PO4 & haven't check my Nitrates in a long time. I usually feed my fish once per day using a wide variety of frozen & dry foods. Dry food mainly consists of seaweed & spectrum pellets & some flake food. My frozen is your typical brine, mysis, spirulina mix with blood worms (50/50 mix).

Fish list is:
Picasso pair
Randall goby pair
Sargassum trigger
Christmas wrasse
Starry blenny
Tomini tang
Yellow tang
Powder blue tang
Purple Suedochromis
Swallowtail angel pair
Chromic
Mystery wrasse
Cardinal
long nose hawkfish

Oh yes, I do use GFO & carbon 7/24. I use the two little fish reactors.
