I have a 35 gallon if your interested.
Its 36x12x18
In order to fit your dimensions the tank would have to be this high:
40 gallon:25.25 inches
55 gallons:31.55 inches
That's pretty high if you ask me and is going to be top heavy and possibly crack or fall over
Just trying to help

Thanks Buster but that length is too long for my stand...I have a 30 1/2" max length to work with

I guess i can only go 40g max...

Ya hat's kinda what I thought.
I'll help you out by giving you the different heights and their gallons equivalent to fit your tank.
12 inches:19 gallons
18 inches:28.5 gallons
24:38 gallons
30:47.5 gallons

Trying to help.
So that when people give you the dimensions you'll know what to expect.
It will also help you judge your maximum gallons for your tank/stand set-up

All measurements are based on 30.5x12x?
Where 30.5 is the length, and 12 is the width

yeah thats right...30.5" long by 12 deep and prob like 23" to maybe 28" tall?? Just guessing here but i think that sounds right..

The orig. was an Eclipse tank 37g...nice tank wouldnt mind picking up the same tank...but I would like something that has the potential to be drilled on the bottom...this hurts..it really hurts..like im talking about a lost loved one..=(

Matt,

I'm going to be selling my entire TruVu 55gallon setup here in the next few weeks. Gloss black stand and hood, 36" long, predrilled acrylic and overflow. I'm not sure if this is more than you're looking for, but I'm slowly moving everything out of it and into my 92 gallon corner.

Pete

I think I have a 37g with stand. Let me double check the measurements. I also have a diamond hole saw, if you want to drill it.

Whoa~! Awesome~! Ill take em all~! jk...

Pete: Let me know...I'll come and take a look at it~! Call me

pbetito: I'll take it if you do~!

Xia: Any pics? Or can I come take a look at it??

Steve: ummmm...yeah...I installed the bulk heads...had to etch out the holes a bit...that worked fine but when i went to glue the down pipes into the reducers, i noticed the crack...I think i might have put just enough pressure on the BH moving the downpipes around...Live and learn~!

Also wasted about a can of this stuff and a can of the "great stuff" too...

Don't know what the hole looked like after Steve drilled it. But you said you had to 'etch out the holes.' Looks like there are lots of jagged ridges in there creating lots of high stress points. That might have been why it cracked but it is possible to overtorque the sch 80 bulkheads.

Sorry about that nonetheless. Good luck getting a new one.

after the holes are drilled by steve they are very smooth on the inside.. any reason you had to "Etch it out?"

The polypropolene B-heads were 1/2" ID and the OD was 1 5/8" the holes drilled were 1 3/8" I believe...the holes were etched with a dremel...and actually as you can see the half of the hole that was etched was the bottom half that didnt crack. Moreover, the holes appeared much more sound because the chips had been removed by the etching...the downward pressure I exuded upon the B-head while it was secured to the piece of glass seems to be the culprit~!

Lame none-the-less...the tank is sitting in the back of my car still...I cant seem to give it up to the dumpster gods quit yet... =(

Bump for WTB request and offers presented...

Matt, come by and look at mine while it's still running... Give me a ring. I'm around in the evenings.
