Gut-Loaded FW cherry shrimp?

I noticed a thread concerning FW cherry shrimp as a live food source for SW fish. The thread was interesting from a couple of perspectives.

First, it seems cherry shrimp can vary in price considerably, but the consensus seems to be that they are easy to breed and prolific to boot. I really only knew of these shrimp remotely and had no idea they would be easy to breed (or at least relatively easy).

Second, Brine shrimp as we all know, lose nutritional value swiftly. It just made me wonder why alternatives haven't sprung up over the years such as these shrimp.

Sooooooo..........has anyone in this forum given FW cherry shrimp as a live SH food any thought? I'll admit I know nothing about their nutritional profile, and would have to admit that gut-loading them may or may not be part of the equation.

I have ghost shrimp in my tank they have been s/w converted . My s/ h leave them alone best I hope is they breed nd the the fry gets eaten.

It seems viable if you can breed enough of them at a rate to keep up with them as a viable food source. It seems that they may need to be gut loaded as FW species will have somewhat different natural food/ nutritional values. Also you could use them in tandem with other food sources like brine shrimp to add some variety. I use a mix in all of my tanks and alternate food to keep things a bit different and less dull for the livestock. Plus if oyu buy some things in bulk- not only can they last longer but you can usually save some money in the long run.
