guys check out my pumpkin

hey every one wanted to share my masterpiece this is the 1st year i accually took time to make something real cool and i am very impressed not quite done cutting the flames but youll get the idea . pics taken 5 minutes ago .
here in the light

and in the dark

what do you guys think ?

yea that was just a test i dont have a candle we put some fire paste in there . (thats stuffs COOL)but i am exited about it

accually chris i do have a tatt gun and have done about a dozen tatts so far but quit about a year ago and all my ink dryed up .
but it was a stencil i used same with tatts also well just finished the flames on him when it gets dark ill have to take more pics its alot cooler now .

Can you take a current picture with it all lite up with a candle? A short movie would be awsome if your digital camera lets you do that.

ooo darn i forgot a candle today ill have to get one tomorrow my brain doesent function when someone switches shifts with me and i have to be at work at 7am after last call at the bar and i remember i have to work in 4 hours . man its a rough day 4 me.......
but ill try tomorrow .

Awesome! Another local carver! I haven't gotten mine all done yet this year (working on them tonight)...here's my display from last year ..

This year I'm doing:
- Cancer survivor ribbon (woo hoo, I celebrated 1 year cancer free yesterday!)
- Superman logo for Alex's daycare
- Charlie Brown in the pumpkin patch
- Canibal pumpkin (one pumpkin eating another one)

Yeah, I broke down and did Nemo and Dori last year for my son's daycare.

MrFerrit, That is funny that you use to do tats. I had no clue. I just knew the pumkin was the bomb.

Matt, I did not know you did carvings also. You guys make my cheesey pumpkin carvin seem like nothing.

OK, I have to ask. How do you come up with the designs? Do you just think of something and make a stencil and then do the carving? Or are you getting a stencil from someone else? I don't think my brain would let me just think of something and make a stencil. )-: Or maybe I need to work on it abit and get my artist part to come through. (-:

Mostly patterns that I find around the net...for now . I tried making a few patterns last year and wasn't happy with how they turned out. This year, my ribbon and my cannibal pumpkin will be my patterns...and the superman logo, but that's obviously not my design, just making the pattern from it. The Charlie Brown pumpkin is a pattern that I found. There's a few good sites out there but the best one is "closed" for the season (free access has been disabled because of load): http://www.carvingpumpkins.com/

Just finished getting my pumpkins cleaned out...short dinner break and then I'll start on the carving!

mattt: awsome looking pumpkins there alot of fun .
Gunter: yea i printed mine of the net andtook a exacto knife cut it out and sharpied it on the skin and exacto knife cut it out and a flathead screwdriver to scrape away the meat . (getto-fabulous) lol
well just got to work so i think its nap time have a good day all.

TIP:
i accually sprayed silicone spray on it and its holding up real well just for a tip . i heard use vasoline but i just ran out.
