If they fix the splitting cord issues it might be fine . I have 2 xf150's and one of them I found the power cord split open exposing the wiring to the water . I was not happy seeing this pump is only a little over 3 mos old . I certainly hope they replace this for me .

They have great customer service. Just open up a warranty ticket on their website

I think this should be included on all new models for the same price. These are features that a $300 pump should have. Heck for 50 more you get wireless controllers with the Ecotechs. These are just inputs for a controller.

Should I pull the trigger on a 150 now or is another version coming out soon? I am not getting enough flow on one end of my 8 ft long tank. How is the noise level on the 150? I have an mp60 which I just upgraded to QD and is whisper quiet and two tunze 6105. The 6105 is now louder than the MP60 so I am looking to keep things quiet. Thanks

My Gyre 150 with old mount sounded louder than QD after 50%.
I bought their new mount and now I can ramp up to 70 or 80% and it's similar noise level to QD
buy the 150 with new mount!

I don't know of another version coming soon. There were rumors a while back of a 'controllable' version coming out, but I think this control box is going to be that product, not a new version of the pump.
As far as noise, with the new mounts (which will come with all new purchases), I can't hear it at all, not even standing right next to it. Before the new mount came out I wasn't that happy. Flow was great, but noise was certainly an issue for me trying to push it over 50%. I haven't been in a room with a XF150 and a MP60QD to compare but I would imagine them being pretty comparable as far as noise levels go as long as you have the new mounts for the XF150.

I haven't heard of any new versions of the actual pump, only the advanced controller. I do believe there will be this new controller box for controllers and additionally an advanced controller for those that don't use an apex etc, like me. I think the advanced controller will be out later
As for noise, they're quiet. I have a 130 and don't hear it unless I put my ear close to it.

Thanks for posting. There were so many noise complaints when they first came out I have been hesitant to order one, you've now pushed me over the edge time to finally get one. :thumbsup:

UGHHHH.. Now I'm back to waiting, I want to use it on my 210, so I should probably have the biggest one they make.

I read somewhere from Coralvue a midsummer release, so not to long. Are you planning to run it exclusively or in conjunction with other pumps?
How soon are we talking here? I have an 8ft peninsula so I want the 170 if it's coming out soon.
