Beautiful! I'm very jealous. I just lost my small ritteri.:( It had a royal blue base! I hope I can find another one just like it. Yours are very nice!

Thanks for the great pictures! The new anemone looks wonderful.

Here is a pic of my three. The one in the back looks a little grumpy because I just moved it.<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/FlightyMail/AnemonesInMyTank/photo#4994465359086747666"><img src="http://lh4.google.com/FlightyMail/RU_nyENcABI/AAAAAAAACQQ/E5iAOjQJgaU/s288/DSC03795.JPG"></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:66%; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/FlightyMail/AnemonesInMyTank">anemones in m...</a></td></tr></table>

I couldn't resist showing how the clowns irritate the magnifica to make it retract while they lay the eggs. It seems like the sting is harmfull right after the eggs are laid, but then benificial after a day. You will see the clowns spitting the tenticles at the eggs.

Very nice. Glad to see that they are doing so well for you. You lost yours, sonofgaladriel? It seemed to be doing pretty good last time I checked on the thread. Sorry :(

No, I haven't lost my new one. I lost a small, 4" blue base ritteri several weeks ago. My current one is doing splendidly!

sonof gadrial how do you keep all those clowns peacefullly they look like they all hang in the same spot

aquarium trade? whats that? lol .. Small, my friend.. way too small.. There are some pathetic shops but nothing really worth mentioning.. There are about 20 nice tanks that I know of so its not really profitable profession. However new era of reefers is coming, mostly youngsters that are switching over from FW, and that looks promising for years to come.. We're trying to set good shop for them with high quality dry goods and live stock but it's a process, pretty frustrating one when you deal with small population with average income of approx. 650$ per month. http://www.elegancereef.com/ sorry for highjacking the thread, :)

Nice red base. Interesting to see a number of aquarists trying multiple anemones with this species. I'd love to find a red based or purple based one, or one with purple tentacles some day.. Think I'd need more than my cube to try it though. :)

Lots of people keep a lot of clowns in one tank. A lot of times with different species.

I have a 200 with 9 clowns, 3 different species! They hang around the same place most of the time. I've never had any problems.
