H. Magnifica Picture/Video Showoff Thread!

looks grate brad I am glad it has settled in I hope they play well with each other

Thanks! And me too! So far, they have been very happy with their separate territories. I guess they just didn't like sharing. These are some "spotlight stealing" anemones I guess lol.

BradleyM,

Yours could be twins of mine:

Brown based H.magnifica anemones...

I've had this anemone(s) since March of 2006. It recently split right around Christmas of last year.... The clowns are Rod's Onyx and are a mated pair. The bizarre tile formation between the two anemones is so that I can easily collect the eggs for a local hobbyist who hatches them and grows them out...I dont have the time or the knowledge on how to do that just yet so they either feed the tank, or she gets them.

Purple based, purple tipped H.magnifica anemone. Its been in my care since Nov of 2010.

maxII, your Mags look GREAT! I'm glad to hear the first one finally finished it's split. Since you're local, and seem to be into these guys, I'd be very glad to have you over some time so you could check them out and maybe give me some pointers for the long haul. And if you ever got the inclination to PM me an invite, I wouldn't hesitate to come drool over your 3 either! :inlove:

You guys have me drooling over these great looking nems! :)

Haha glad you are enjoying! This thread was a good idea.

Hey, how come nobody's shown up with a red base yet??? I know there have got to be SOME people who have them and until I find one for sale I wanna at least see 'em in other tanks! :hammer:

EC nice mags! I am enjoying this thread so I can get my mag fix until my tank is up and running for a year. Start looking at 10 months for the perfect magnifica for my tank.

BradleyM,
Will do, but its going to be a bit...wife just had our third daughter who is now a month old. Her older twin sisters are just 2 1/2 so free time is one thing I dont have much of right now.

When I do, I'll be sending you a PM...

;)

Catchoftheday :) Hey there mate, yeah I recently saved him from death at a LFS. About 3 days new, 175w under LME. I've been trying to feed it a bit of mysis here and there, he has a long way to recover. We found him in a 5 gallon cube of stagnant water under 2 t5's  :( Couldn't see that and go home knowing the poor thing is doomed. So here he is. And happy he shall be. Once we get him back in shape :) :) Please offer more if you'd like! :)

This was from a week after purchase. Still needs much more TLC to round the next corner, but we are working on it :)
